Veredus Save the Sheep Kevlar Gel Vento Front Boots

The Kevlar Gel Vento includes a Kevlar protective layer. This synthetic material is lightweight, impact resistant, hard wearing and is five times stronger than steel. The horse’s limb is also protected by a nitrexgel shock absorber film, positioned at the back of the boot. The "Save the Sheep" lining is made with techno sheepskin which is a man-made fabric free from any animal derivatives.• Double ventilation• 3D mesh ducted fabric• Microperforated neoprene AEROX• Tendon protection in Kevlar + nitrexgel• Quick-release tip• Anatomically-shaped shellDupotTM and Kevlar® are trademarks or registered trademarks of affiliates of Dupont de Nemours used under license by Veredus.
Sizing Guideline
To choose the right size, it is necessary to measure the circumference of the front cannon bone. Take a tape measure and wrap it around the middle of the cannon bone without tightening too much to take the measurement.
Circumference of Front Cannon Bone
Small
17 cm - 20 cm (6.5 to 9 inches)
Medium
20 cm - 23 cm (9 to 10 inches)
Large
Over 23 cm (over 10 inches)
If you are buying protection for the hind legs, the measurement is normally taken on the front limb. It is in fact very uncommon that between front and rear legs, there is such a difference to require boots of different sizes.
Many people think that the protection must cover the entire deep flexor tendon even up to the carpus (the knee). Not only the part of the tendon most exposed to trauma is the lowest, but a protection that is too high would just bother the tendon when flexing, particularly during the jump.
Veredus Pro Jump Vento Elastic Ankle Boots
$269.99 $310.00
The first jump-enhancing ankle boot that guarantees double ventilation! More dangerous than any impact is the effect of heat buildup on your horse's legs. The Veredus® VENTO releases heat through their exclusive double ventilation system. Cool air is drawn in through the bottom vents and heat is released through the top vents. Air circulation within the boot is aided with Aerox micro perforated neoprene and 3D Mesh Ducted fabric.

Veredus Evento Hind Boots
$249.99 $330.00
E-VENTO Cross country boots in microperforated neoprene AEROX, together with 3D mesh ducted fabric to guarantee double ventilation. E-VENTO boots boast the following features:Double ventilation: heat released from the horse’s legs passes through the microperforated neoprene layer and is then distributed in the 3D mesh ducted fabric. Air is tunnelled through specialist inlets as the horse moves which directs accumulated body heat outwards through the technical ducted fabricMicroperforated neoprene AEROX: this allows the horse’s skin to breathe, avoiding sweating and overheating of the tendonsWaterproof: the boots don’t absorb or retain water, meaning they stay dry despite weather and terrain conditionsReduced weight: despite offering extremely robust protection, the boots are lightweight – allowing greater freedom of movement and flexibilityShock absorber system: highly protective pads in polyurethane foam help reduce the shock felt during high impact

Myler Western Dee w/ Hooks MB32-3
$279.99 $310.00
*You are seeing a brand new design for this cheekpiece. Please be aware that some retailers may not have this style in stock yet so you may receive the original design.
Myler Stainless Steel Western Dee with Hooks, MB 32-3 Mullen Triple Barrel, Level 2
The MB 32-3 is an innovative Myler alternative to the traditional mullen. It has three barrels which turn the mouthpiece from the typical solid bar of a mullen into a flexible bar which allows the horse to elevate his tongue and swallow more easily. When the reins are engaged, the mouthpiece becomes a solid bar like a traditional mullen, but with an exaggerated curve. This curved bar rotates across the bars and lips down on to the tongue, applying pressure across the entire surface of the tongue. The flexibility of the MB 32-3 makes it very forgiving and comforting when relaxed, but offers the rider control when engaged. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation.
Independent Side Movement
Sweet Iron Mouthpiece
Curved mouthpiece does not pinch lips and bars
Copper Inlay
Notes: Because the tongue pressure applied by the MB 32-3 is evenly distributed across the entire tongue, this mouthpiece is considered "stronger" than the MB 04. However, its flexibility makes it a forgiving mouthpiece that works well for horses who have suffered mouth trauma or damage, or horses that tend to go behind the bit. For a ported mullen style offering more tongue relief, see the MB 06 or MB 36.
The western dee with hooks is a circular stainless steel ring with fixed attachment of the mouthpiece, with top and bottom rings (“hooks”) for headstall and rein attachment. The small loop behind the top slot accommodates a curb strap (attach with two curb hooks). The top bridle ring will fit standard ⅝" leather found on most headstalls. The bottom rein ring has recently been updated to fit slobber straps up to approximately 1 ¾". The knob on the top of the rein ring is for decoration—it has no function.
The hooks make this a much more versatile version of the dee without hooks. Attaching the headstall to the top hook holds the bit in the correct position instead of allowing it to slide around the bridle cheek pieces. Attaching the reins to the rein hooks allow the rider to lift the cheek and use the Independent Side Movement™ of the mouthpiece. Using the hooks does not add leverage but allows the rider to transition from a direct rein action to indirect action without changing the bit. Adding a curb strap (using a Myler curb strap kit) incorporates curb pressure. Curb pressure is recommended for ported mouthpieces.
Size: 3" offset ring
Action: Direct rein action when reins are not attached through rein hook. Indirect rein action when rein is fixed on rein hook.
Discipline: Primarily Western
Degree of Leverage: Little to no leverage when the hooks are used

Myler Stainless Steel Western Dee with Hooks, MB 03 Comfort Snaffle with Copper Roller, Level 1
The MB 03 is the Myler alternative to the traditional French link or lozenge mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits with an added copper roller. The MB 03 rotates onto the tongue, applying tongue pressure, but because the mouthpiece is curved, it wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching. The barrel in the center applies approximately the same pressure on the tongue as a traditional three-piece mouthpiece, however, the barrel distributes the pressure more kindly and creates Independent Side Movement™. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation.

Notes: The MB 03 is identical to the MB 02 except for a copper roller on the center barrel which can comfort horses that are restless or nervous. For more tongue relief, step up to the MB 04.

Myler MBB Black Steel Flat Shank w/ Dots MB04
$323.99 $360.00
Myler MBB Black Steel 6 3/4" Medium Shank, MB 04 Low Port Comfort Snaffle, Level 2
The MB 04 is similar to the MB 02 in that it will rotate on the tongue and apply tongue pressure, however, it has a small (¼") port that introduces some tongue relief to the horse. The port allows the horse to swallow and move his tongue when he is moving forward and relaxed, which acts as a release or reward. The mouthpiece is curved, and it wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation.

Notes: The MB 04 provides an excellent transition from Level One to Level Two. It is suitable for a wide range of horses including green horses, experienced horses entering the Myler System, horses that have been ridden exclusively in a single-jointed mouthpiece, or horses that have not been ridden for a while needing re-schooling.
The MBB shank is a length of flat black steel curved slightly back towards the horse, with a teardrop purchase and a rein ring. The mouthpiece has a fixed attachment to the cheek with a decorative “stack.” The shank is decorated with stainless steel dots. The purchase is angled slightly away from the cheek to avoid rubbing. The black steel will discolor over time to an antique brown.
The MBB flat shank is an indirect (curb) rein action designed to be used with a curb strap which attaches to the purchase. This shank uses the combination of fixed cheek and fixed rein to apply pressure to the mouth, chin and poll.
