Myler Kimberwick Bit MB36
$350.99 $390.00
Myler Stainless Steel Kimberwick, MB 36 Mullen Forward Tilt Low Ported Barrel, Level 2-3
The MB 36 is a Myler alternative to the traditional mullen, but it has a wide low port that allows the tongue to pass under it comfortably. The port is 1" high, and tilted forward at a 45º angle, allowing just enough room for the horse’s tongue to elevate slightly and swallow, but not high enough for palate pressure. When the reins are engaged, the MB 36 applies pressure primarily to the bars and lip, but also applies tongue pressure because of the forward tilt.
Independent Side Movement
Stainless Steel mouthpiece
Curved mouthpiece does not pinch lips or bars
Copper Inlay
Notes: This mouthpiece is a step up in tongue relief from Level 2, but because the port is low, it does not offer as much tongue relief as other Level 2-3 mouthpieces with slightly higher ports because the tongue is still somewhat restricted. The MB 36 mouthpiece is similar to the MB 06, except that it is ¼" higher and the port is tilted forward. The MB 06 mouthpiece will apply less tongue pressure than the MB 36 but additionally offer less tongue relief when the reins are relaxed. For more overall tongue relief and less tongue pressure, see the 43LP.
The Kimberwick is a “D” shaped stainless steel ring with a purchase for the headstall and two attachment options for a single pair of reins: the direct (snaffle) and the indirect (curb) positions. Comes with curb chain. Like the Pelham, the purchase creates a fixed cheek so the bit is held in the correct position. The rider can choose the direct (snaffle) position or indirect (Curb) position for rein attachment. The Indirect Rein position adds very little to mild leverage. Designed to be used with only one pair of reins.
Action: Snaffle position is Direct rein action. Curb position is Indirect rein action.
Size: 4" “D” shaped ring with purchase
Discipline: English
Degree of Leverage: Very little to mild leverage when the lower rein hook is used.

Myler Loose Ring Bit MB10
$129.99 $188.00
Myler Stainless Steel Loose Ring, MB 10 French Link, Level 1
The MB 10 is a more comfortable Myler version of the traditional French link mouthpiece. It has a smaller link with a flatter contour which allows the tongue more freedom in the mouth and minimizes interference with the palate. Although it lacks the benefits of a “true” Myler mouthpiece, it has a distinctive curve so the bars of the bit wrap around the horse’s bar and lips which make the bit more comfortable.
NO Independent Side Movement
Stainless Steel Mouthpiece
Curved Mouthpiece
Copper Inlay
USEF, FEI, and USEA Dressage Legal 2019. Consult rulebook for more information.
Notes: The MB 10 disperses pressure over the tongue similarly to the MB 02, but does not offer the Independent Side Movement™ of a true Myler mouthpiece. Popular with riders who are more comfortable with a traditional design, but we recommend that you try the MB 01, 02, or 03 to get the full benefit of Myler features. For more tongue relief, step up to the MB 04.
The loose ring is a simple stainless steel "O" shape where both the bridle and mouthpiece have no fixed point of attachment but slide freely around the ring. The loose ring allows a lot of play as the mouthpiece slides freely around the ring.
Size: 3" ring
Action: Direct
Discipline: English or Western
Notes: The loose ring is generally considered one of the most non-interfering cheek pieces because the mouthpiece slides freely around the ring. However the play in the mouthpiece can make it difficult for a horse to find your hands as the mouthpiece is in continual motion. The movement of the mouthpiece can also exaggerate or create a busy mouth in young or anxious horses. It is best suited for more advanced horses fully schooled in leg and seat aids as well as rein aids.

Myler Loose Ring Bit 14mm MB02
$197.99 $220.00
Myler Stainless Steel Loose Ring, MB 02 14mm Comfort Snaffle Wide Barrel, Level 1
The MB 02 is the Myler alternative to the traditional French link or lozenge mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits. The MB 02 rotates onto the tongue, applying tongue pressure, but because the mouthpiece is curved, it wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching. The barrel in the center applies approximately the same pressure on the tongue as a traditional three-piece mouthpiece, however, the barrel distributes the pressure more kindly and creates Independent Side Movement™. Mouthpiece is 14mm at the cheek.

Notes: The mouthpiece is similar to the MB 02 but the center barrel of the MB 01 is narrower, which concentrates pressure on the center of the tongue more than the MB 02. For more tongue relief, step up to the MB 04.
The loose ring is a simple stainless steel "O" shape where both the bridle and mouthpiece have no fixed point of attachment but slide freely around the ring. The loose ring allows a lot of play as the mouthpiece slides freely around the ring.

Myler Stainless Steel 3 3/4" Dee with Hooks, MB 04 Low Port Comfort Snaffle, Level 2
3" Dee on Pony Sizes
The MB 04 is similar to the MB 02 in that it will rotate on the tongue and apply tongue pressure, however, it has a small (¼") port that introduces some tongue relief to the horse. The port allows the horse to swallow and move his tongue when he is moving forward and relaxed, which acts as a release or reward. The mouthpiece is curved, and it wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching.

Notes: The MB 04 provides an excellent transition from Level One to Level Two. It is suitable for a wide range of horses including green horses, experienced horses entering the Myler System, horses that have been ridden exclusively in a single-jointed mouthpiece, or horses that have not been ridden for a while needing re-schooling.
The dee with hooks is a stainless steel "D" shaped ring with fixed attachment of the mouthpiece, as well as slots (“hooks”) at the top and bottom of the ring for bridle and rein attachment. The small loop behind the top slot accommodates a curb strap (attach with two curb hooks). Both the top bridle slot and bottom rein slot on the standard and medium dee will fit standard ⅝" bridle leather. The slots on the pony dee will fit ¾" bridle leather.
The hooks make this a much more versatile version of the dee without hooks. Attaching the headstall to the top hook holds the bit in the correct position instead of allowing it to slide around the bridle cheek pieces. Attaching the reins to the rein hooks allow the rider to lift the cheek and use the Independent Side Movement™ of the mouthpiece. Using the hooks does not add leverage but allows the rider to transition from a direct rein action to indirect action without changing the bit. Adding a curb strap (using a Myler curb strap kit) incorporates curb pressure. Curb pressure is recommended for ported mouthpieces.
Size: 3 3/4" dee on 5" and 5 1/2" mouthpieces, 3" dee on 4 1/4", 4 1/2", 4 3/4" mouthpieces
Action: Direct rein action when reins are not attached through rein hook. Indirect rein action when rein is fixed on rein hook.
Discipline: Primarily English
Degree of Leverage: Little to no leverage when the hooks are used.

The MB 06 mouthpiece will apply less tongue pressure than the MB 36 but additionally offer less tongue relief when the reins are relaxed. For more overall tongue relief and less tongue pressure, see the 43LP.
The 6" stainless steel 3-ring combination bit is a hybrid of a ring bit, shank bit, and hackamore and uses five different pressure points to disperse rein pressure. Because the noseband and chin strap are connected through the purchase, when the reins are engaged, the horse first feels nose, chin and poll pressure before he feels the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece can slide 1" before reaching a stop, where it will then engage and apply pressure. The purpose is to give the horse an opportunity to respond to the rider’s rein signals before applying mouthpiece pressure. The combination bit has Independent Swivel Cheek and the purchase is slightly angled away from the cheek to prevent rubbing. The noseband is flat leather with knotted cord on either side and the chin strap is synthetic to avoid stretching over time.
Action: Indirect
Discipline: English or Western
Degree of Leverage: The 3-ring combination bit offers three different rein positions: the big ring, middle ring and bottom ring.
Big Ring = No leverage
Middle Ring = Mild
Bottom Ring = Mild
Notes: If you ride with your rein attached to the big ring, it will function only as a direct rein snaffle and not apply nose, chin, poll pressure as a combination bit.

Myler Pelham Bit MB04
$323.99 $360.00
Myler Stainless Steel Pelham, MB 04 Low Port Comfort Snaffle, Level 2
The MB 04 is similar to the MB 02 in that it will rotate on the tongue and apply tongue pressure, however, it has a small (¼") port that introduces some tongue relief to the horse. The port allows the horse to swallow and move his tongue when he is moving forward and relaxed, which acts as a release or reward. The mouthpiece is curved, and it wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching.

It is suitable for a wide range of horses including green horses, experienced horses entering the Myler System, horses that have been ridden exclusively in a single-jointed mouthpiece, or horses that have not been ridden for a while needing re-schooling.
The stainless steel Pelham is designed to be used with two pairs of reins simultaneously. The headstall attaches to the purchase ring which keeps the cheek stationary. The first set of reins are the snaffle reins, which attach to the larger ring adjacent to the mouthpiece. The second set of reins are the curb reins, which attach to the smaller ring at the bottom of the shank. Comes with curb chain.
The Pelham uses both direct (snaffle) and indirect (curb) rein action using two sets of reins acting on one mouthpiece. Similar to a double bridle, which also uses two sets of reins, but the double bridle requires a snaffle bit for the snaffle rein and a curb bit for the curb rein. The Pelham can be used with a bit converter, a leather loop connecting the snaffle and curb ring to which only one set of reins is attached.
Action: Snaffle ring is Direct rein action. Curb ring is Indirect rein action.
Size: 4" straight shank with purchase
Discipline: English
Degree of Leverage: Mild
Notes: For a cheek that offers both Direct and Indirect rein as separate options for one set of reins, see the Kimberwick.

Myler Full Cheek Bit w/ Hooks MB33
$251.99 $280.00
Myler Stainless Steel Full Cheek with Hooks, MB 33 Medium Wide Ported Barrel, Level 3
The MB 33 is the mildest Myler mouthpiece in terms of tongue pressure. The generously wide port allows room for the tongue to pass almost completely under the bit. Because this mouthpiece does not rotate on to the tongue and the port is wide, it applies little to no tongue pressure, working primarily off the lips and bars. The port on this mouthpiece is only 1 ½" high, so it will apply little to no palate pressure. Because the MB 33 offers such a high degree of tongue relief, the horse that goes well in this mouthpiece has a trustworthy and consistent disposition, and is trained to work off the leg and seat as well as the hands.

The full cheek with hooks is a traditional cheek style designed to be used with bit keepers (sold separately) to hold the bit in correct position. The posts also prevent the bit from sliding through the mouth while applying cheek pressure. When used without bit keepers, bit will sit in the mouth similarly to a dee or eggbutt without hooks. The ring has fixed attachment of the mouthpiece, as well as one rein slots (“hooks”) at the bottom of the ring for rein attachment. No attachment for curb chain or strap. TThe rein slot will fit standard ⅝" bridle leather.
The hook makes this a much more versatile bit than one without the hook. Using bit keepers to hold the post in the correct position stabilizes the bit in the bridle instead of allowing it to flop forward. Attaching the reins to the rein hooks allow the rider to lift the cheek and use the Independent Side Movement™ of the mouthpiece. Using the rein hooks does not add leverage but allows the rider to transition from a direct rein action to indirect action without changing the bit.
